About the Artist
Nick Kuchar is an Oʻahu-based artist known for his vintage-inspired surf and travel art celebrating scenes of the Hawaiian islands. Growing up drawing and surfing in Florida, he later relocated to Hawaiʻi where he embedded himself in the island's visual culture. His work blends nostalgic surf-travel poster aesthetics with mid-century color palettes and contemporary island landscapes.
Artist Statement
"I draw from surf breaks and hiking trails, capturing the essence of Hawaiʻi's outdoors and cultural rhythms. My art combines mixed painting media and digital techniques to produce prints that feel handmade yet polished — a joyful blend of nostalgia and now featuring Waikīkī surf breaks, coastal mountains, island roadways and iconic Hawaiian landmarks."
